Financial Literacy

Financial literacy is a fundamental life skill. Without knowing the fundamentals of finances, young people today are exposed to greater financial risks. Moreover, disadvantaged youth are exposed to a life of want are more vulnerable to risky financial ventures. By advocating personal finances, investments, and how the financial market runs, they will have the necessary knowledge and skills that will prove invaluable once they take the next step toward becoming self-reliant, educated, and employed. With the exposure to basic financial concepts in a theoretical and practical way, they can develop a deeper understanding of what behaviors constitute financial discipline, as well as the impact of decision-making on financial wealth. With financial literacy, disadvantaged youth are better equipped to deal with common financial traps, such as impulse buys, paying for convenience, and credit card debt. Our youth will also get proper training to form the habit of saving, budgeting, and maintaining good credit.
